Senior System Administrator


Role:
Sr. System Administrator / DNA & Zeus Application Support

Reports to:
Director, Operations

Responsibilities:

Must be bilingual Korean/Engish. Dealing with English client base.

The Sr. System Administrator is part of a globally distributed team of highly skilled, dedicated individuals who support high-volume, multi-tier Internet applications on a 24 x 7 basis as well as Development, QA and Application Support Environments.

• Support of all aspects of the environment (hardware, OS, application software).
• Provide system administration, operational support, problem resolution, and perform hardware and software installations and upgrades as required.
• Design, implementation, testing and documentation of new infrastructure components, services and enhancements.
• Application and System health and performance monitoring including responding to production issues and capacity planning and sizing.
• Troubleshooting on a hardware/OS/application level.
• Work closely with Software Engineering and Application Support to isolate and repair problems as well as help drive the operational enhancements into the products.
• Document standards and operating and technical procedures for the system(s) and acts as a technical resource to IT staff and system users.
• Participate in a 24x7 On Call rotation and off-peak maintenance activities.

Skills and Experience:
• Fluent English Written and Verbal Skills Required
• 6+ years of RedHat Enterprise Linux System Administration
• Solaris systems administration skills (a big +)
• Must have 3-4 yrs recent experience in a Production Support environment.
• Must have strong experience with Unix Scripting; shell, perl, python, php or equivalent from an automation and monitoring standpoint. Must have the ability to identify and create tools to support every day tasks.
• Must have strong experience with networking protocols and hardware as well as SAN and storage technologies.
• Working knowledge of a some of the following technologies: openldap, nfs, ntp, dns, postfix/sendmail, kickstart/cobbler, jumpstart, dhcp, yum, subversion, puppet, lvs, clustering (sun and/or redhat), server virtualization (xen, vmware, solaris containers)
• Oracle OBIEE, Jboss, ColdFusion, apache, tomcat administration experience is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring systems (Nagios and ganglia a plus).
• Experience with Oracle 10g (a big +)
• Ability to work with a geographically diverse group of technically skilled individuals and drive projects from inception to completion is a requirement.
