낮(점심 때)에 봤을 때는 댓글 딱 3개(이제 2.7이 시작되는거냐? 아니다, 그렇다라는 그 답변 까지만.) 달아져 있었는데 지금 보니 여러 개 달렸네요.
한달만에 2.6.0-test10을 발표했습니다. Linus는 이제 Andrew Morton에게 넘기고 2.7 개발버전을 시작하려나 봅니다.
아무튼 2.6 발표도 멀지 않았음을...
댓글을 보니 다음의 안정버전이 3.0이 될 것이다는 이유를 들어 개발버전은 2.7이 아니고 2.9일 것이다
라는 얘기를 하는 분이 있군요.
그러나 그 아래 댓글 처럼 역시 1.3 개발버전(무지 오래전 얘기 ^^ )에서 다음 안정버전이 2.0이 된 것 처럼 개발버전은 2.7이 맞겠지요.

Linux creator Linus Torvalds released 2.6.0-test10 nearly one month after 2.6.0-test9 [story]. The compressed patch weighs in at a tiny 100kB, comprised mainly of one-liners and trivial fixes. There is a known issue triggered by kernel preemption, so for maximum stability Linus recommends that one should not enable CONFIG_PREEMPT. However he goes on to add, "I'd love to have more testing, so that we can try to figure out what the pattern is - but please mention explicitly that you ran with preemption if you have problems." Finally, Linus adresses when we can expect the official 2.6.0 release:
"I'm planning/hoping on basically turning this over to Andrew [interview], and let him decide to make the final 2.6.0 or not. Timing-wise Andrew is apparently going to be off for a few weeks, so regardless of whether this turns out to be rock solid or not, we'll have a few weeks of final testing before that were to happen. Which means that I might still end up making a test11 if Andrew hasn't come back and we find something that warrants it."
