제 목 : MySQL 4.0.19~에서 error log의 Aborted connection

MySQL은 error log를 MySQL DB 홈 디렉토리의 호스트명.err 파일에 남긴다.
예전에는 없었는데 MySQL 업그레이드 후에 갑자기 다음과 같이 경고 메시지가 있어 이상하게 여길 수도 있겠다.

040805  8:32:16  Aborted connection 19854 to db: 'coffeenix' user: 'truefeel' host: `192.168.1.251' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
040805  8:37:29  Aborted connection 26576 to db: 'coffeenix' user: 'truefeel' host: `192.168.1.251' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
040805  8:38:47  Aborted connection 27855 to db: 'coffeenix' user: 'truefeel' host: `192.168.1.250' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
040805  8:39:50  Aborted connection 29433 to db: 'coffeenix' user: 'truefeel' host: `192.168.1.250' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
040805  8:42:11  Aborted connection 32422 to db: 'coffeenix' user: 'truefeel' host: `192.168.1.161' (Got timeout reading communication packets)

위의 경고메시지는 지정한 connect_timeout 동안 쿼리를 날리지 않아 커넥션이 자동으로 끊겼음을
의미하는데, MySQL 4.0.19부터는 디폴트로 이 로그를 남기도록 하고 있다.
4.0.19 릴리즈의 Changes를 보면 다음과 같은 부분이 있다.

* The --log-warnings server option now is enabled by default. Disable with --skip-log-warnings.

이 로그를 남기고 싶지 않다면

- mysqld 데몬 실행할 때 --skip-log-warnings 옵션을 주거나
- mysql 접속하여 mysql> 프롬프트에서 다음과 같이 하여도 된다.

mysql> set log_warnings=OFF;
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.01 sec)
