	제  목 : PostgreSQL에서 semaphore 에러발생시 작성자 : 좋은진호(truefeel, http://coffeenix.net/ ) 작성일 : 2006.4.28(금) FreeBSD에서 PostgreSQL 설치후에 initdb 실행할 때, 다음과 같은 에러가 발생한다면 커널 파라미터에서 semaphore 설정값을 늘려주면 해결이 가능하다.   creating configuration files ... ok creating template1 database in /usr/local/pgsql/data/base/1 ... FATAL: could not create semaphores: No space left on device DETAIL: Failed system call was semget(1, 17, 03600). HINT: This error does *not* mean that you have run out of disk space. It occurs when either the system limit for the maximum number of semaphore sets (SEMMNI), or the system wide maximum number of semaphores (SEMMNS), would be exceeded. You need to raise the respective kernel parameter. Alternatively, reduce PostgreSQL's consumption of semaphores by reducing its max_connections parameter (currently 10).
