    CVS history 파일은 다음과 같은 형태이다.

     
    U4c26f0e2|cnx|~/public_html*7|mainwww/help/search|1.81|index.html
    		 


    맨 앞에서 부터 '코드+날짜|ID|디렉토리|CVS프로젝트명/CVS디렉토리|버전|파일명' 이다.
    맨앞 코드 1자리 중 O, U, M, A등은 익숙한데 나머지는 헷갈려서, 메모해둔다.
    각 코드는 다음과 같은 의미를 갖는다.

    Letter　　　     Meaning
    ======       =========================================================
    O            Checkout
    T            Tag
    F            Release
    W            Update (no user file, remove from entries file)
    U            Update (file overwrote unmodified user file)
    G            Update (file was merged successfully into modified user file)
    C            Update (file was merged, but conflicts w/ modified user file)
    M            Commit (from modified file)
    A            Commit (an added file)
    R            Commit (the removal of a file)
    E            Export
